Why should I study the bible?
  It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.  Matthew 4:4
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
 
 Do I need to be saved and who will save me?
   She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,
because he will save his people from their sins.  Matthew 1:21
 
Who is Jesus?
The Son of God born of a virgin.
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love, with him I am well pleased." Matthew 3: 16,17
 
Does Jesus have a church?
Yes. "And I tell you that you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.  Matthew 16:18  
All the churches of Christ send greetings.  Romans 16:16
 
 
 Where did Jesus go after he died?
He went to Paradise.
But the other criminal rebuked him - "Don't you fear God since you are  under the same sentence?" We are punished justly for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."  Luke 23:40-43 NIV
 
Why was hell created?
It was created for the devil and his angels.
"Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me,you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." Matthew 25:41
 
 
What behavior does God hate?
A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God   
Deuteronomy 22:5
 
There are six things the Lord hates, yes seven are an abomination  to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community. Proverbs 6:16-19
 
Does God forgive sin? Yes
All that the Father gives me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. John 6:37
Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven men. Matthew 12:31
 
 
   What denomination is the Church of Christ?
  We are not a denomination because there are none in the bible.
Acts11:26 And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch 
We are not associated with the United Church of Christ (UCC) which is a socially liberal mainline Protestant Christian denomination based in the United States.
 
Who should I pray to? 
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6
 
What is the Great Commission?
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19,20
 
 
  Can I be a Christian without being baptized?  
In the great Commission, Jesus instructs all Christians to be baptized. 
Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved 
 
 Can babies be baptized?
No. Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved.
Babies do not the have the capacity to understand or believe the bible at
that stage of life.
 
 Who is the head of the church?
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which He is the Savior.
 
 Will I still have problems as a Christian?
Yes nobody, Christian or non-Christian, is exempt from problems. 
John 16:33 In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
 
 
8. Why do Christians meet on Sunday?
The church met on the first day of the week. Acts 20:7 On the first day of the week we came together to break bread (the Lord's Supper).
 
 Is it proper to give money to the Church?
1 Corinthians 16:2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up so that when I come no collections will have to be made.
 
 How much should I give to the church?
In the Old Testament God commanded His people give 10%.
Leviticus 27:30 A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord. 
Leviticus 27:32 Every tithe of the herd and flock - every tenth animal that passes under the shephard's rod - will be holy to the lord. A tithe is 10%.
 The New Testament does not give instruction of how much to give but states in what manner to give:
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7   
  
 Where does the Bible say Jesus was born on December 25? 
The birth of Christ is recorded in the New Testament in Luke chapter 2. The actual date of Christ's birth was never recorded so we can only estimate the time of year according to events that happened at the time of Christ's birth. Although we may not know the exact day Jesus was born, there is sufficient evidence that he was born. The good news was not a secret,but widely announced by angels.
